The History of Me is an anthropological study of how I came to be me, starting with family history and making my way through relationships and decisions.  This study asks the question of nature vs nurture -- what it means to be the daughter of immigrants in an affluent suburb, with all the privileges and pressures that come with it.  The old and new images, juxtaposed with letters and memorabilia, read as diary entries.  Layers of paint and pastels are added to create a form of analysis.  The book has no text, allowing the narrative to be up to the viewer's interpretation.
